Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these Terms

By accessing or using DooZed, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms do not limit rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

2. Marketplace role

DooZed provides a marketplace that helps independent watercraft owners and prospective renters find one another, exchange information, and use available transaction tools. DooZed does not own, inspect, maintain, operate, or insure listed watercraft and is not a party to agreements made directly between users unless a booking screen expressly states otherwise.

Owners decide whether to accept a renter. Renters decide whether a listing, owner, pickup location, and watercraft meet their needs. A listing or user appearing on DooZed is not an endorsement or guarantee.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. You must provide accurate account information, keep access credentials secure, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

4. Owner responsibilities

Owners are responsible for:

• Having the legal right and authority to offer each listed watercraft.
• Keeping descriptions, photos, pricing, availability, capacity, rules, and pickup information accurate.
• Maintaining watercraft in safe, seaworthy, and legally compliant condition.
• Holding licenses, registrations, permits, and insurance required for the offered activity and location.
• Providing required safety equipment, operating instructions, and disclosures.
• Following tax, reporting, consumer protection, marina, launch, and local waterway requirements.

5. Renter responsibilities and water safety

Renters must review listing terms, confirm the exact pickup location, inspect the watercraft before use, follow owner instructions, obey capacity and operating limits, and comply with applicable boating laws. Renters are responsible for required licenses or boater cards and must never operate while impaired.

Water activities involve risks including injury, drowning, collision, weather, changing water conditions, equipment failure, and property damage. Use appropriate personal flotation devices and exercise independent judgment. If a watercraft appears unsafe, do not use it.

6. Inquiries, bookings, payments, and deposits

Sending an inquiry does not create a reservation. A booking is formed only when the service presents a confirmation and any required payment is authorized. Payment, identity, deposit, refund, and payout features may be provided by third party providers and may not be available for every user or market.

Pricing, taxes, fees, deposits, cancellation terms, and other transaction details shown during booking are part of that transaction and control if they conflict with general marketplace information. Users authorize charges and refunds described at checkout or in the applicable booking terms.

7. Cancellations, refunds, and disputes

Cancellation and refund rights depend on the terms displayed for the booking, owner cancellation, weather conditions, provider rules, and applicable law. Users should first try to resolve factual questions through the booking conversation. DooZed may review records and take reasonable marketplace action but does not guarantee a particular outcome between users.

8. User content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant DooZed a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, display, and distribute that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the marketplace and your listing.

You must have the necessary rights to submitted content. Content must be accurate and must not violate privacy, intellectual property, publicity, or other rights. DooZed may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or creates legal, safety, or marketplace risk.

9. Prohibited conduct

You may not:

• Use DooZed for fraud, unlawful activity, harassment, discrimination, or unsafe conduct.
• Misrepresent identity, authority, watercraft condition, location, availability, or transaction details.
• Attempt to bypass security, access another account, scrape the service at disruptive scale, or introduce harmful code.
• Manipulate reviews, evade amounts properly owed, or use another person's personal information without authorization.

10. Reviews, moderation, and account action

Reviews must reflect genuine experiences. DooZed may investigate reports, preserve relevant records, limit features, reject or suspend listings, or suspend or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or enforcement of these Terms.

11. Third party services

Authentication, email, identity, storage, mapping, payment, and payout functions may depend on third party services. Their terms and privacy practices may also apply. DooZed is not responsible for outages or acts of providers outside its reasonable control.

12. Disclaimers and limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DooZed is provided on an as available basis without warranties that listings, users, watercraft, availability, or outcomes will meet your expectations. DooZed does not replace your own inspection, insurance review, legal compliance, or safety decisions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DooZed will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the marketplace. Any liability that cannot legally be excluded remains subject to applicable law.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify DooZed from claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your listings, watercraft, rentals, content, violation of these Terms, or violation of another person's rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from conduct for which DooZed is legally responsible.

14. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms as the service changes. The effective date will be updated, and material changes may receive additional notice when required. If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue. A failure to enforce a term is not a waiver.
