Step 1
Publish your listing
Add photos, your craft details, and your own price. You choose the weekly hours and dates you are available, and whether to approve each request yourself or turn on instant booking.
Step 2
A renter requests a booking
Every renter verifies a government issued ID and a boater education certificate before they can book.
Step 3
You confirm and hand off
Once paid bookings open, you will approve each request yourself with instant booking off, or DooZed will confirm it automatically with instant booking on. Either way, you will meet the renter at your dock and complete a check in and check out record with photos.
Step 4
Payouts open as payments launch
Paid bookings and payouts are not open yet. Once they launch, the renter will pay through Stripe and your payout will be sent after the trip, minus the service fee below.
What DooZed takes
Paid bookings are not open yet, so no fee is charged today. Here is how fees will work once paid bookings open: DooZed will charge a 10% service fee, taken out of your payout after the trip. You will keep 90% of the rental price, and renters will not pay a separate booking fee on top of your price.
How renters are verified
Before a renter can book, DooZed checks their government issued ID through Stripe Identity, and every renter also shows a boater education certificate. Renters must pass ID and boater certificate checks before DooZed accepts their booking request.
Deposits and damage handling
A security deposit hold on the renter's card is coming. Bookings do not include one yet. Before and after the trip, the check in and check out record captures photos plus fuel and engine hours; you record walkaround and propulsion videos before departure, and a return video if you record one within 2 hours of the return. If something is damaged, that record is what you and your insurer use to sort it out.
Insurance
You must carry your own insurance that covers rental use of your boat or jet ski. Many personal boat and personal watercraft policies exclude rentals, so ask your insurer about a rental (livery) endorsement before you list.
DooZed does not provide insurance and does not decide damage claims. A damage claim is between you, your insurer, and the renter. DooZed gives you the records to support that claim: confirmation that the renter passed ID and boater certificate checks, check in and check out photos with fuel and engine hours, your walkaround and propulsion videos recorded before departure, a return video if you record one within 2 hours of the return, the message history with the renter, and the requirement that the renter signs the rental agreement and release before DooZed allows departure. A filed damage report always shows whether a return video exists; DooZed does not decide what a missing one means.
A worked earnings example
This small calculator starts from one public rental rate for the market you pick. Change the numbers to match your own plan. It is an illustration, not a promise of income, and you set your own price once you list.
Public benchmark: Jet ski at $250 (USD/day) in Lake Havasu, checked 2026-09-14.
- $250.00 times 2 times 12 for the season
- $6,000.00
- DooZed service fee (10%)
- minus $600.00
- Estimated season payout
- $5,400.00
You will keep 90% of the rental price after the 10% DooZed fee, once paid bookings open.

Frequently asked questions
How much does DooZed take?
Paid bookings are not open yet. Once they are, DooZed will take a 10% service fee out of your payout, you will keep 90% of the rental price, and renters will not pay a separate booking fee.
Do I need my own insurance?
Yes. You must carry insurance that covers rental use before you list. Many personal boat and personal watercraft policies exclude rentals, so ask your insurer about a rental (livery) endorsement.
How are renters verified?
Every renter verifies a government issued ID through Stripe Identity before booking, and every renter also shows a boater education certificate.
What happens if my boat is damaged?
A damage claim runs between you, your insurer, and the renter. DooZed gives you confirmation that the renter passed ID and boater certificate checks, check in and check out photos with fuel and engine hours, your walkaround and propulsion videos from before departure, your return video if you recorded one within 2 hours of the return, the message history with the renter, and the requirement that the renter signs the rental agreement and release before DooZed allows departure, to support it.
Do I need to be present for every booking?
Yes, for the dock handoff. You choose whether to approve each request yourself or turn on instant booking so DooZed will confirm it automatically once paid bookings open, and either way you will meet the renter at your dock for check in before the trip and check out after it.
